Summary: The Sheet Metal Fabricator is responsible for the fabrication, assembly, and inspection of sheet metal components in a manufacturing environment while consistently demonstrating the company’s Core Values. This role requires technical skill, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork. The Sheet Metal Fabricator works collaboratively with shop leadership and peers to meet production goals, maintain quality standards, and support a positive, safety‑focused work culture. The successful candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the job in an indoor manufacturing environment, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

Lead by Example:

·  Take ownership of assigned tasks from start to finish with minimal supervision.

·  Use proper setup, sequencing, and fabrication methods to ensure efficient and high-quality work.

· Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and accountability in daily work activities.

· Use 3-way communication with the Shop Foreman or Department Lead Person to confirm understanding of work assignments.

· Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

· Follow all company procedures, policies, and safety regulations while completing job assignments.

· Read, interpret, and follow drawings, prints, labels, and specifications accurately.

· Inspect and measure complete products to ensure work meets quality standards, tolerances, and design specifications.

· Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately and honestly to reflect work performed.

· Maintain regular attendance and work effectively with others in a fast-paced, team-oriented shop environment.

· Communicate respectfully and clearly with co-workers and supervisors regarding work in progress, completed work, and upcoming tasks.

Challenge the Ordinary:

· Develop sketches and perform shop calculations as needed to improve fabrication accuracy and efficiency.

· Select materials based on strength, durability, and suitability for the intended application.

· Utilize fabrication equipment and tools effectively to produce precise, high-quality components.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

·High school graduation or equivalent.

·Completion of company sponsored apprenticeship training program or two years of shop experience is preferred.

· Basic knowledge of HVAC drawings and system design preferred.

Physical Demands: 

· Ability to stand for extended periods while performing assigned job duties.

· Ability to walk and move throughout the work area as required.

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and more than 100 pounds with the use of lifting devices or assistance from other employees.

· Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, and stoop as necessary to perform job tasks.

Work Environment:

· Work is performed indoors in a manufacturing environment.

· Temperature conditions may vary with seasonal changes.

· The work area is generally loud.

· Hearing protection is not typically required but is available and provided for employee use as needed.

· The environmental conditions described are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
